Nike+ Run Club – Tuesday Night Speed Run

I’ve been running with this group in Toronto for some time now. Just about 2 and half years or so. I am not the runner I used to be and I’m very thankful for that. But now, the conversation is all about getting faster and going further. Tuesday nights are all about speed. I’ve listed the workouts from the past two Tuesday nights below for you all to have a bit of perspective. The idea is not for this to be easy, but rather for us all to welcome new challenges and better ourselves.

Workout 1:
1mile @ 10k pace
800m @ 5k pace
400m @ mile pace
1mile @ 10k pace
800m @ 5k pace
400m @ mile pace
1:30 recovery in between everything

Workout 2:
4x400m @ mile pace
800m @ 10k pace
4x400m @ mile pace
800m @ 10k pace
1:30 recovery in between each
